Globecomm Systems opens new Bethpage, NY, office

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Globecomm Systems Inc., a satellite communications company, said Monday that it has opened a new office in Bethpage, N.Y.

The office at the Applied Science Center of Innovation and Excellence in Homeland Security was created by a public-private partnership to develop security technologies.

Globecomm, based in Hauppauge, N.Y., provides satellite-based communication products and services.

The company’s shares rose 9 cents to close at $7.76.
