HBO partnering to give free DVDs to veterans

GREENWICH, Conn. — Home Box Office Inc., a provider of cable television programming, is taking part in an effort to give free DVDs to U.S. military veterans.

HBO, a unit of Time Warner Inc., and Veterans Advantage said Tuesday they are partnering in the effort.

Those newly enrolled in Veterans Advantage are eligible to get a free copy of “Taking Chance,” starring Kevin Bacon, a movie from HBO Films that is about the war in Iraq.
