Software vendors like us always looks for ways to easily and cheaply protect their software from getting stolen. Microsoft with billions of dollars of resources has done it with Windows Genuine Advantage program. Now you can provide similar strong protection but much more cheaply and easily. IntelliProtector is basically a software that offers secure distribution of software products over the Internet, on CD-ROM as well as DVD-ROM. This promises to be a very good application for all the software developers and publishers who are always worried of losses due to content copiers, intellectual property theft and software piracy. This software helps in activating and managing the software in such a manner so that it can be distributed securely through the internet and also through CD-ROM and DVD-ROM to restricted people only, protecting against losses from software piracy, casual copying and intellectual property theft.

The service provides very useful options such as strong protection against reverse engineering, automatic management of license keys, management of customers, resellers, and orders, powerful reporting and statistics and etc.

IntelliProtector comprises of mainly two parts. The first is a downloadable client and then there is a web-based control panel. The client determines the protection core into software. He sets out the rules and restrictions whereas the web-based panel allows the vendor to track orders, manage license keys, view charts and reports that visualize the information about sales and help promote software better.

Client Protection

The client provides many options to fine tune protection. IntelliProtector protects both x64 and x86 Windows software along with .exes and .libs  files comprehensively. You can select the hardware you want to bind to, create time or feature limited trials (You can also work on multiple projects and implement different time limits to different products you want. When the trial expires, the purchase dialog will pop up and require product registration to unlock the software), customize settings for automatic blocking of license violators and enable anti-crack protection options that may include high level integrity violation method checking like, module checksum verification, debugger blocking, memory dumper blocking and OEP (Original Entry Point) protection.

The protection can be applied to the softwares as simply as clicking on Protect Project. And you are done.

Key Features

  1. Freeware that gives you so many facilities.

The software has tie-ups with all the main registrators. They are,

I couldn’t find very many notable cons in this product. As far as I have seen, it doesn’t support WinCE yet. I hope they come out with it soon.

In Conclusion

This software is very feature rich, secure and easy to use. If you remember asProtect from your early days, then the difference is really noticeable. IntelliProtector has my vote. Write to us if you are using it.

Just one thing i want to add. Windows Genuine Advantage i don’t believe is doing anything against piracy or at least just some minor damage. There is a ton of information on bypassing genuine advantage.
But, nevertheless any atempts against piracy is welcome!
