McKinstry buys software assets from Itron
SEATTLE — McKinstry Co., a privately held construction and design company, said Tuesday it has acquired the rights to a group of software products from Itron Inc.
The price was not disclosed.
McKinstry said the software, called the Enterprise Energy Management Suite, helps monitor energy and water use in buildings and find ways to improve effeciency.
It has licensed the technology and offered it to clients since 2007.
Shares of Itron, a technology provider for the utility industry, fell 56 cents to $75.94 in afternoon trading, part of a broader market sell-off.
