Mentor Graphics completes deal for Valor
WILSONVILLE, Ore. — Mentor Graphics Corp., a provider of electronic hardware and software design products and services, said it has completed its buyout of Valor Computerized Systems Ltd.
The company paid $32.5 million in cash and 5.6 million shares of Mentor stock, making the deal worth about $50 million.
Valor makes software for printed circuit board design for manufacturing and other systems.
Mentor said with the deal, it is positioned to serve its customers by taking them through the concept of their designs all the way through manufacturing.
Valor becomes a wholly owned Mentor subsidiary. Mentor is based in Wilsonville, Ore., and Valor is based in Yavne, Israel.
Shares of Mentor Graphics rose 5 cents to $8.46 in midday trading Thursday.
