Nokia completes purchase of Novarra
ESPOO, Finland — Cell phone giant Nokia Corp. said Friday that its acquisition of Novarra Inc. has closed.
Privately held Novarra develops mobile browser and services, which are used on cell phones for Internet access. Nokia plans to use the software on its Series 40 phones. Novarra is based in Itasca, Ill.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
American Depositary Shares of Nokia, based in Espoo, Finland, were up 10 cents to $15.18 in afternoon trading.
