Reliance USB Modem with 3.1 Mbps Speed: Now 20 Times Faster
By Partho, Gaea News NetworkFriday, March 13, 2009
People were raring for a high-speed internet that could open up pages and download in a jiffy. BSNL had kept everyone in India waiting for the much hyped EVDO Data Cards with elevated speed and a standout tariff plan. BSNL offers the lowest downtime as compared to any other services in India. With Reliance’s wireless Internet service speeding up, the competition has boiled up. Relaince’s new USB Modem is 20 times faster with speed upto 3.1 Mpbs. That’s great especially for professionals who travel extensively. The benefit goes to the hoi polloi. Let’s delve into what’s on offer to realize the difference.
The Reliance Netconnect Broadband is a simple plug and play option for Laptops and Desktops. The wireless broadband recorded the fastest uploads at a speed of upto 1.8 Mbps. Further the Indian telecom major offers a seamless network across 20000 towns and 4.5 lac villages.
Coming to the USB Modems price, it will be available for Rs 3500 for 2 months unlimited connection. During this period the users will be able to avail free unlimited wireless broadband internet. The offer will be available for the month of March. After this period the user will have to pay for the first month.
Let me know if you use the USB. I would like to know if the Reliance has kept up with its claims.

@ Reliance USB Modem with 3.1 Mbps Speed: Now 20 Times Faster ==> friends ,if any of you people planning to take reliance broadband 3.1 mbps then it’s better to live without any internet connection. Because you will be frustated by it each single min you use it.I was using bsnl broadband from last 3 years and unfortunatly i have switched to reliance. And it was my worst decision ever. Friends go for any net connection , or go to cyber cafe even you need to walk 30 mins at 45 degree c. at 1 pm BUT NEVER EVER THINK ABOUT TAKING RELIANCE BROADBAND 3.1 MBPS |

Dears I have bought a reliance High speed data card four months back thinking that it is going to solve my Internet problem while I am on move. I found suprising it is not supporting OUTLOOK EXPRESS our company mail id is configured - I have invested 3500 rupees on the card and four to five months of 650 rupees being paid and HAS NOT USED THE CONNECTION ONE SINGLE MINUTE I was tried running up to each of the RELIANCE OFFICES and they are so badly equipped to support HSD and do not have the basic info on the supports and RELIANCE IT SUPPORT HELP DESK IS EVEN GREATER after repeated calls and their prompt calling but equally prompt in not solving the problem Every time I ask for help they want me to pay their montly subsription because the connection is not working due to non payment and they will not correct the problem when it is active. I am totally dissatisfied and they CONFIRM THAT RELIANCE CONNECTION will not support OUTLOOK EXPRESS dure to TRAI REGULATION and I see it is working fine with my wife laptop of their company - OUTLOOK EXPRESS CONFIG and it is supporting so very happily CONTRADITCTIONS ARE THE RELIANCE LIFE AND THEY ARE CONDUCTING THEM SELVES SO BADLY NEED TO KNOW WHETHER WILL IT SUPPORT MY OUTLOOK EXPRESS OR NOT ? IF NOT HOW MY WIFE CAN USE IT IN HER COMPANY MAIL ACCOUT THROUG OUTLOOK EXPRESS ANIL KUMAR |

Thanks for letting us know Vijay. Its certainly encouraging to know that you are getting 1.3 Mbps. But shouldn’t you get more than that? I mean if it says you are gonna get 3.1 Mbps speed, then you must get close to that as a download speed. Please let us know about any other experience. Simple Thoughts Team |
