Boyd Gaming Corp., up 55 cents at $9.01
An analyst upgraded shares of the casino company after it said it had decided not to buy assets of a rival.
Omnicare Inc., down 11 cents at $24.52
The pharmaceutical services provider named an interim CEO as its head stepped down after nearly 30 years with the company.
HSBC Holdings PLC, up $2.66 at $53.74
The British bank, Europe’s largest in terms of deposits, said its net income more than doubled in the first half of the year.
Charles River Laboratories International Inc., down $1.21 at $29.87
The medical research equipment company cut its outlook for the year as weak demand and higher costs weighed on second-quarter results.
PolyOne Corp., up $1.15 at $11.46
Diversifying its business away from hard-hit housing and auto clients helped the plastics and resins maker drive net income higher.
Alcoa Inc., up 54 cents at $11.71
A better-than-expected report the U.S. manufacturing sector drove the aluminum supplier’s shares higher.

Intel Corp., up 55 cents at $21.15
