The Apprentice Show Made Me Sick To The Core

I was watching the finale of the “The Apprentice” show, which features billionaire Donald Trump in a glamorized reality show to choose his next apprentice. The show made me sick. It is an abomination for multiple reasons.
All the participants expressed profound love for Mr. Donald Trump. I can somewhat understand their sucking up, but this much! It was really sick. It appeared the best sycophant got the job. It was apparent that Mr. Trump’s clearly favors sycophants with his inane statement to a lady about loving him more than her beau, before firing him. He is clearly a very self-obsessed human being.
And what for? The winner, if I heard correctly, will be making $250, 000 a year. That isn’t such a huge money to kiss so much ass. I know I would’ve made more than that today in US, if I hadn’t left in 2000-2001. Even then I was pretty close to it. $250, 000 is a very achievable salary for a competent and capable person in US.But frankly I wouldn’t kiss that much ass for even a million dollars!
Trump organization is clearly a family business. Adorned with his two loving child Trump isn’t surely going to get a good leader. He really needs good follower which the chosen lady was. James, I think I got the name right but feel free to correct, was clearly a very strong leader for the safety of Trump’s children. Have you noticed the head honchos in Trump’s organization? They are clearly good followers and sycophants, not leaders. Have you seen any of them strongly contradict Trump ever?
Sure Trump made a boat load of money as there are literally zillions to be made in the real estate industry but the whole show reeks of callous display of wealth and I couldn’t find much redeeming value to it. My advice to highly ambitious executives, who are considering participating in The Apprentice show, to take the plunge and go for your own startup, instead of trying to ass-kiss your way up some organization. It will be much more rewarding mentally and emotionally. You may not always fly your own corporate jets but then you may too and may even be able to retire before 40. Chances are that you will.

I was watching the episode of the pprentice in dubai featuring synergy project manager miss tammy vs brent on a failed pitch on an advt for a cereal product.I think mr. trumps decision to fire brent was unfair.admitted that brent was obnoxious and disruptive but let us focus on the task that the team had at hand.The poster that was presented by the team project manager was certainly unattractive(not brents fault but tammys).the decision to do a short presentation by a guy was tammys and not brents.The guy chosen by tammy to do the presentation was a nervous and flustered and failed to make an impact on mr. trump(tammys failure and not brents ).SO HOW COME BRENT GETS FIRED WHEN CLEARLY THE PROJECT MANAGER DID A LOUSY JOB? |

As well, I completely agree with your comments. Further, The Apprentice is nothing more than a promotional sales tool for the showcase of Trump properties and various advertiser products. The show (just as many other programs in the U.S.) has absolutely no value or memorable positive impact/influence on society. Every great leader (of which Trump deceives himself to be) creates an impactful positive legacy from their passion for mankind, not from a television program. |
