Yahoo names new CFO, fills void left by shake-up
SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Yahoo Inc. has found a replacement for its chief financial officer, who left the struggling Internet company earlier this year in a big management shake-up.
Yahoo said Thursday it has plucked Tim Morse from chip maker Altera Corp. to serve as CFO.
He fills a job vacated by Blake Jorgensen, who left in February as part of an overhaul by Yahoo’s new chief executive, Carol Bartz.
Before Altera, Morse served as the CFO for General Electric Co.’s plastics division.
Jorgensen, who got a $1.8 million severance package from Yahoo, now works as CFO for Levi Strauss & Co.
