5 Things I Like Most About GMail

I have been using GMail for some years. There are 5 things which I like most about GMail which makes it apart from competitors.
1. Ability to search using Google search engine. Google search engine is known for its uncanny ability to find relevant results. GMail shines above any online email competitor primarily because of its search feature.
2. Ability to access it via POP & SMTP. Most online email provider restrict your access to POP and SMTP to force people to use your site. GMail is an exception.
3. Decent amount of space - around 3 GB. Until recently GMail was the largest webspace provider for free email service. Its storage is increasing by the day.
4. Integration with Google Chat. This is a very useful utility which often allows you to chat with the person on your contact list or from you send / received an email
5. Similar email clustering. GMail clusters similar emails and shows only the differences. While its UI could be improved, it is still the best that is out there.

well one of the best feature i like abt gmail is its quality spam filter. While i was a yahoo user previoulsy my inbox was always filled with spam. With gmail i get spam where is it’s intended to. Cheers to gmail! ~rd |

gmail was the best since it came out in my opinion. Recently what I really appreciate is google’s integration to allow you to use applications for your site. I have all of my site’s emails on gmail - What more could you want?! |

Allows SSL (TLS) encrypted POP, SMTP and even fully encrypted HTTPS sessions! Rules and fowarding can also be extremely useful features. Speed - if you can call it a feature…I do! Antispam - very effective spam blocking. |
