Feedster & FeedBlitz Shines in Customer Support

Recently I had to interact with both of these companies to resolve non-trivial customer support issues. In both cases I was pleasantly surprised by the promptness and eagerness of their support. I would highly recommend both of them on this count.

Feedster is a blog searching and informatics company and one of the best. Yesterday I found couple of errors with their listing for this blog (which is incidentally ranked 33 in their Feedster Top 500 Blog list). I contacted them over AIM. It was amazing how rapidly my problem was resolved. By rough estimate it was less than a minute. And he was very polite.

Feedster also received good mention for support from other bloggers.

FeedBlitz is an alternative to Bloglet. Both provide free email subscription service for RSS feed. My first interaction with Feedblitz system was unsuccessful. Soon after I blogged about it, I was contacted by FeedBlitz. He helped me to identify the problem and pursued it as much as he could.

Not only that he rectified some of the problems with the system which I pointed out almost immediately. FeedBlitz really shined with their flawless support on this issue.

Unfortunately my Webhosting provider WestHost proved very incompetent in solving it on their end. After trying to get it resolved by our provider (just trying to unblock some IP addresses or sub-network from their block list) for over a month I gave up without getting any resolution from WestHost.
Interestingly their IM support is fair but their “higher level tech support” is grossly incompetent and clueless to put it politely.

So to summarize my recent experiences:

PS. In the past I received excellent support from Google, Yahoo and others. More about them later.

hey,
good to hear about Feedster and Feedblitz. In these times where customer gets nothing but agony out of customer support, good to see two shining armours. Way to go boys, hope people get inspired by you’ll.

Hate to bother you in comments for this, but on your 10 simple tips to better blogging entry, the page is unviewable. I attempt to load the page and it displays blank. A view source never gets past the header.
