It is quite amazing to see how far technology has advanced in the last few years. Thin, slim, high-def, flexible, cool functions are the talking point of the future gadget. Sony has just previewed its new conceptual, solar powered Nextep Computer Bracelet that features a flexible organic light emitting diode screen (OLED), holographical projection, pull-out keyboard panels and you can access to social network with a single touch. The Nextep can be laid flat like a digital tablet.
As technology advances and OLED screen is getting cheaper and cost effective, Sony’s conceptual wearable devices, Nextep Wearable Bracelet may become like iPod in ten years. It can even be solar powered. The components of OLED are thin films of organic compounds that generate light when energized with electricity. OLED consumes less power than light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or liquid crystal displays (LCDs), OLEDs also provides brighter, sharper resolutions, that measures 100 to 500 nanometers thick. Sony is already working with OLED computer screens and televisions which is expected to release this year.
