Groupware on Linux Recommendations
By Angsuman Chakraborty, Gaea News NetworkMonday, April 30, 2007
I am evaluating different Groupware packages (like Microsoft Exchange) for Linux. Can you please give some recommendations? So far I have come across Scalix, eGroupware, Open-XChange and The Horde project. Have you used any of them for business?

Check out Group-Office at https://www.group-office.com. It features shared calendaring, projects, file sharing, e-mail, todo’s, billing and synchronization with mobile phones and outlook. |

Kerio Server works great on Linux, but I’ve had a hard time trying to get evolution to work with it. I’m trying to find a linux groupware client that is as nice as evolution but integrates and works better with Kerio. |

We use Open-Xchange and have had a very positive experience with it. I would recommend giving it a try. |

Hey there, I was in your shoes last year and found kerio to be the most mature option on Linux and my endusers still love it. It has more features close to Exchange and even better. Deployment was surprisingly easy. Hope that helps. |

Zimbra…specifically through rPath’s rbuilder…nothing is more simple…you build it online, download, install, and it’s up and running fully configured. https://www.rpath.org/rbuilder/project/zimbra/ Here’s an overview of rbuilder: |
