How To Recover From Damaged Windows XP User Profile

Today one of my computers started displaying - damaged windows xp profile. It then goes into a temporary account. Any changes made to that account didn’t survive the next reboot. Also I wasn’t able to access all our earlier settings on that machine. Anyway here’s the solution.

I simply restored it using the windows xp system restoration utility to a previous date and all was fine and dandy. You’ll find the System Restore utility on the All Programs | Accessories | System Tools menu.
