How To Reset Google AdSense Password

Strangely the most obvious means to reset Google AdSense password may not work for you. By obvious I mean the link on AdSense login page: I cannot access my account. The first link on that page, if followed, is: I forgot my password. Obviously any sane person would think that is the way to change your password. However if you look carefully you will realize that it is a link to change your password for Google account. Unfortunately many of us have AdSense account but not Google account. More unfortunately I have both of them using the same email address and yet they are not linked! Google promptly sent me an email to reset my password. When I tried to login using the new password, Google rebuffed me with:

“Welcome! You’re signed in to Google Accounts under the email xxx@yyy.zzz and your Google Account password, but this is different from your AdSense account email and/or password. If you’re an AdSense publisher, try signing in using your AdSense email and password. Or, sign up for AdSense.”

Luckily I found the solution. You need to go to this url instead. The process is same. You need to write a captcha to verify your humanness (are you a human or a bot?) and then a link is sent which allows you to change your current password to a new one of your choice.
