By Partho, Gaea News NetworkWednesday, February 3, 2010
Soon after the iPhone 3.1.3 release, the web is abuzz with innuendo about how to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 safely. In case you wanna stick to your unlock for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G, it’s better no to upgrade to iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. The new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware updates baseband to 05.12.01 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G that will not allow you to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3GS and 3G. For those interested, we decided to provide you with instructions on how to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 safely. You could download iPhone userbar to receive the jailbreak update.
Just go through the steps below and follow the instructions to jailbreak and unclock Phone 2G, jailbreak iPod 1G/2G (older models only) on 3.1.3 firmware.
Step 1: Go to iTunes and Update to iPhone 3.1.3 . For the downloading and installing instruction check up here
Step 2: Download redsn0w 0.9.4 for Windows or Mac. Start redsn0w 0.9.4 and point it to the respective original iPhone 3.1.2 firmware to proceed. We say to point at iPhone 3.1.2 and not 3.1.3, because redsn0w 0.9.4 is still unable to validate the latest firmware.
Step 3: Select Install Cydia as well as Already pwned options.
Step 4: Ensure that your device is off and plugged in to the computer before you click Next.
Step 5: Connect to your device in recovery mode. For that press the Power and buttons continuously. This will pop out a screen where you will have to hold the Power button quickly, while holding the Power button. You don’t need to hold the Home button too. Release the Power button after a few seconds and holding the home button until the installation begins.
Step 6: redsn0w will jailbreak iPhone for you. iPhone 2G will restart automatically and you would find the jailbroken iPhone firmware version 3.1.3.
Unlock for iPhone 2G
After you are done with jailbreak, you can unlock iPhone 2G firmware 3.1.3 using BootNeuter app from Cydia. Now continue after the step 4 to unlock iPhone 2G on 3.1.3 firmware.
You can download the Original iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone here.

You then have to restore your iphone. Hold start and power down at the same time (have it plugged in you mashine with USB before you start). Then restore your phone through Itunes. |

My 3GS iPhone is showing only the Apple logo and is not doing anything, even iTune can’t see it. This happened after I pressed and erased all data and setting on the phone. I did this because my phone had stopped working and Carrier in Setting was absent and Wi-Fi was greyed out. You have any solution to this ? |
