Microsoft Realizes Truth About Vista

Microsoft finally realized (at least publicly acknowledged) what we have known all along. It blinks and reduced the price of Vista, while acknowledging the fact that Vista sales is poor in retail segment.
The main segment of Microsoft’s revenue with Vista has been in selling OEM versions. However it is only a matter of time when computer vendors realize that they can provide high quality operating system for free (cheaper than OEM price) by adopting one of the popular Linux distribution like Fedora or Ubuntu.
Where I am standing Vista is bloat-ware and a losing proposition, more so in developing countries (read countries with less buying capacity). I have always wondered what the big brains at MS were thinking when they spec’ed out Vista. Now I realize they simply made a mistake and slowly but surely acknowledging the fact.
