We have seen enough of Skype. Though audio- video conferences over the internet never had a good alternative, but certainly there is a new kid on the block who talks of quality and quantity at the same time. ooVoo is FREE video calling. See up to six friends, family or colleagues at the same time – with video quality that’s quite good. ooVoo is an iChat-like video conferencing and chat tool for Windows, loaded with useful, powerful tools that make it a viable alternative for small work groups using conference calls and screen-sharing applications.

Data Transfer

This is one point of concern for people who use video conferencing. Usually a video conference with a good quality and with 4-5 people at the same time, takes in a good chunk of data.

When we tried ooVoo with 5 of our team members for 15 minutes, it took around 120 MB and the file was also converted to a nice little video in .flv format.
