P&G to sell Pampers through Facebook page
CINCINNATI — The Procter & Gamble Co. is expanding efforts to increase online sales by offering shopping through its Pampers diapers page on the Facebook social media site.
Spokeswoman Tricia Higgins says the shopping tab is through Amazon.com, which has been selling P&G products online for several years. P&G brands have before taken presale orders on new items via Facebook, but Higgins says this will be the first time visitors can shop for multiple P&G brands at one page.
Pampers is the top-selling brand of the world’s largest consumer products company. Tide detergent, Olay skin care and Pantene shampoo are among others available in the effort being launched Thursday.
Higgins says P&G will add shopping to other brand pages later.
