Yahoo Mobile App for iPhone and Other Smartphones

With craze for iPhone apps soaring up, Yahoo couldn’t wait to get into the groove. It’s up with a beta version mobile app for iPhone and other smartphones. Google already has a voice search app for iPhone. Microsoft has its Seadragon Mobile published in App Store. It was Yahoo’s turn to drive the smartphones owners nuts. The Yahoo app has loads to offer with its messenger, onePlace, email, pulse, browser and more.

Browser and email

To begin with Yahoo mobile brings in an integrated Opera Mini 4.2, that’s in addition to Yahoo! oneSearch. It’s exciting to see the Yahoo! onesearch with the voice command. It allows you to conduct searches just by speaking out the keyword on your smartphone. Well, the Google Mobile App also features a similar voice search. So let’s move to other. The browser offers you easy access to your email account such as mail, Hotmail, AOL and Windows.

Social networks

If tweeting is your favorite game or you are a Facebook aficionado the mobile app has lots for you. It allows you access to most popular social networks like MySpace, Twitter,  Facebook, Friendster, Flickr, Bebo, Dopplr,, and YouTube.


Well for a Yahoo chatter, it’s made easy to get on with the Yahoo!Messenger. It’s also possible to get along with the Yahoo!Address Book and Yahoo!Calender. For the latest updates you can access the Yahoo!onePlace tool.

The Yahoo! Mobile application in Beta version is already out. Now, you’ll have to wait for the general version, expected to be released in Q2 of 2009.
