Chitika Eliminates Auditing for Premium Ads

Monthly auditing was the most annoying aspect of Chitika, a popular online advertisement broker.Often a significant portions of your projected revenue would be lost after their “audit”. The process is not transparent and often a source of great frustration to publishers. Chitika announced that they are getting rid of audits in Chitika Premium ads. In their own words:
Many publishers have expressed frustration with our “audits” process (at the end of the month, we discount the invalid clicks from reports - you can read more about this here.)
Well we have good news - with our new Chitika | Premium ads, audits are pretty much a thing of the past! Chitika | Premium is set up differently than our old eMiniMall/MPU units, and audits on Premium units are usually less than 1% of total earnings.
In most cases, there are zero audits on Chitika | Premium ads - meaning that “what you see is what you get” from your daily reports.
Chitika Audit Background
Chitika updates ad traffic stats daily (before 10:00 AM Eastern Time); however, that is ‘unaudited’ revenue, and it’s a raw approximation of revenue earned. At the end of each month, Chitika performs ‘audits’ to eliminate clicks that advertisers should not pay for - clicks from scrapers, automated bots, obvious multiple clicking, etc.
Over the past few months, Chitika has done a ton of enhancements to do as much filtering as possible on a daily basis. However, they cannot filter all invalid clicks on a daily basis. And hence Chitika still relies on a monthly process for non-Premium ads.
Note: Daily filtering to eliminate invalid clicks is also done by Google AdSense and other big online CPC ad brokers.
