Compuware sells software line to British company
DETROIT — Business software and services provider Compuware Corp. says it’s selling an applications testing software line to Britain’s Micro Focus International PLC for $80 million.
Compuware said Wednesday the deal affects 330 employees and is expected to be completed by the end of this quarter.
Compuware President Bob Paul says the sale will let his software and technical services company focus on its core businesses.
Micro Focus is based in Newbury, England, and advises companies on how to get more out of their business software. Micro Focus chief Stephen Kelly says the Compuware line is a “logical extension” of his company’s existing product lines and predicts growth.
