Dell Faces Allegations of Gender Biasness; What’s Your Stand?

Gender Equality, Women Righteousness - they all sound good when read. But how many times do we see it being implemented? Dell has to stand up against a class action law-suit filed by four female executives for discriminating against women in pay, job placement, promotions and layoffs.

  1. In May 2007, Dell announced plans to lay off about 8,800 workers, about 10 percent of its workforce. Those layoffs unfairly targeted women and older workers
  2. More than 80 percent of Dell’s upper management is now male.

If these two statistics and the case file seem to be a co-incidence and improper to you, then either you are a male worker from Dell or a silent supporter of gender biasness.
