Did you ever have problem in finding an old mail from Gmail? Did you find out that the mail doesn’t exist or you had deleted it accidentally? Well for those who receive critical mails and feel insecure about having no backups for those, can breathe easy now.

Gmail Backup is the tool that allows Gmail user to regular backup of their mail and restore when necessary. It will not only backup all the mails but also include mail information such as labels, date, from and etc.

Technology

Gmail built in IMAP capability is being used to backup the email and save the messages in Microsoft EML format which allows restoring to other mail clients like, Microsoft Outlook.

The best part is, the Gmail Backup is available in two version which are Windows version and Linux version.

The Windows version comes with a user friendly interface with a username password field and folder where you want to keep your backup. After that, click on Backup button and you are done.

The Linux version is in command line only. (Thank God they did something atlast for Linux!)

Download

The Gmail Backup is free and download it from here

p.s. -> When was the last time you were so forgetful that you accidentally deleted an important mail from your mailbox, then deleted it from trash even!

And if you happen to lose your e-mails from Gmail (which I am sure most of you will laugh about) in the mid air, is Gmail suspecting themselves?

Lol, Better to back up.
