Internet Explorer Gaining over Firefox in my Microcosm
By Angsuman Chakraborty, Gaea News NetworkThursday, December 22, 2005
On this website Internet Explorer users have snatched back their majority share. Internet Explorer users comprise 49.08 % of total users. Within Internet Explorer versions, IE 6 is most popular cornering 96 % of Internet Explorer market.
Firefox is at 43%. Mozilla and Netscape comprise less than 2%. What a mighty fall for Netscape who is its glory days had over 90% of the market.
It appears Internet Explorer is regaining its shares with news of a new version on the anvil.

This is very much supported by browser statistics of my web sites. As I mentioned above this is a picture from my microcosm, which may or may not agree with other sources. However I think this will align with technology oriented sites and blogs. |

I think you need to be very careful with unsupported claims about browser usage statistics. If you look at the WikiPedia “Usage Share of Web Browsers” article you’ll see that as at June 2007 most research companies have IE usage at somewhere between 70 and 80%. OneStat has it has it as high as 84% and in fact claim that Mozilla Firefox usage is still climbing. |
