MySpace Used To Solicit 14yr Old For “menage a trois”

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a report that a 14-year-old Oostburg girl was solicited to be part of a “menage a trois” on the social networking Web site MySpace.com, according to Capt. Dave Adams.

The girl’s father called the sheriff’s department Wednesday night after her mother communicated with several of the girl’s friends using her MySpace account and discovering language that was “sexual in nature,” Adams said. The mother was communicating with a 20-year-old man from Dodge County and a 15-year-old girl from Ozaukee County, he said.

The Dodge County man was attempting to arrange a three-way sexual encounter with the two girls, according to a sheriff’s department activity report.

I am shocked but not surprised. MySpace deals with millions of teenager and yet there isn’t much to protect them from adults trying to take advantage of their trust and innocence. Technically it is a hard problem to solve.
