sap  SAP announced the vision for integrated business analytics, software packages, and on-demand, cloud-based extensions to applications in the next five year plan at its business conference in Boston. Since the cost of memory is going down, it is going to be easier to analyze limitless business data in real time.

Business analytics will be integrated on continuous basis with SAP product suite. Say, for example, financial application is going to be packaged with financial services in order to do calculation on the fly as well as analyze the data. SAP is also developing application for the recent onset of social networking and mobile computing so that wireless users can collaborate SAP and non-SAP related data for computing on the fly.

SAP users want to be able to use social networking sites such as Facebook to collaborate. Companies want to take advantage of these technologies without disrupting business,” said SAP executive board member Jim Hagemann Snabe.

Currently, the company is working on on-demand applications like travel expense applications, supply chain, and human capital management. SAP is also working with different packaged solutions. Those applications come with content, and analytics. The company is supposed to provide SaaS service for application as the demand grows.

SAP is also planning to take gradual migration in terms of cloud computing because many big corporates are still not ready to migrate their applications in cloud immediately. Although, small customers are keen to migrate to public cloud, big corporates are more interested to use private cloud. SAP is also working to bridge the gap between private and public cloud.
