SUNNYVALE, Calif. — GPS-technology company Trimble Navigation Ltd. said Friday it bought privately held LET Systems based in Cork, Ireland, for an undisclosed sum.
LET’s software is used by electric, gas, water and wastewater utilities. It makes mobile work force management software, as well as software that helps utilities manage outages.
Trimble’s technology is used in construction, agriculture and other industries, as well as for public safety and mapping. The company said the acquisition is part of its plan to provide products to the utilities industry.
