What Are Blogs Good For?

Pete Cashmore of Mashable interviews Robert Scoble. I liked it. Blogging is continuing to gain more traction, despite the naysaying gurus, while traditional media is suffering a rapid decline, at least in USA.

Today traditional media like television and newspapers are focussed more on entertainment than hard news. Blogs were looked down upon because of their lack of systematic fact checking. However popular blogs like TechCrunch, Mashable, Paid Content etc. (but not ValleyWag obviously) are as dependable as traditional media. In my mind the days of traditional media are numbered.
