After befriending Facebook, Yahoo has made another attempt to make friendship with Twitter. Yahoo has announced their partnership with Twitter, to integrate Twitter’s real-time social experiences with more than 600 million people in Yahoo’s global network.
Its all about fulfilling Yahoo’s desire to grab the market of social networking. Yahoo was planning to socialize itself for a long time. But now, with the growing popularity of Facebook and Twitter, it has entrusted the task to be outsourced.
Yahoo is providing its users the microblogging services, while checking Yahoo mails or using Yahoo chat. You can also update your status or share Yahoo contents in Twitter. In addition, Yahoo search properties like News, Finance, Entertainment, and Sports will be integrated with real time Twitter updates over various topics.
Previously, Yahoo went on a five year deal with Facebook. It was reportedly a non-financial partnership that gave Yahoo users easy access to Facebook. Facebook Connect was integrated to many Yahoo properties from Flickr photo service to its email. Now the giant Internet portal would allow you tweeting without leaving Yahoo mail. So, its easy to remain connected to Twitter while sending e-mail to your colleague.
Yahoo refused to give details about their deal with Twitter. While asked about their future similar deals, Yahoo declined to comment. Reportedly MySpace and LinkedIn, the two social networking behemoth are the next target of Yahoo.
