LONDON - Social networking site Bebo has set up a special onscreen panic button for users to report abuse without delay.

The pressing of the button will alert specially trained officers at the Government’s Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.

The centre’s chief executive has advocated other sites like Facebook and MySpace to start a similar facility.

“This service is totally free so there’s no legitimate reason for these sites NOT to do it. They have a duty of care to the young,” the News of the World quoted him as saying.

Bebo has total number of 21 million users. (ANI)

Doesn’t stop spammers from using a bebo profile and then spamming people’s blogs with it.
