Have you checked Bing’s Facebook Page this week? You will be delighted to find an option of earning 3 Farm Cash out there.
Zynga’s hit game FarmVille is now the weapon of Bing for making new fans. “Any FarmVille fans out there?” Bing is to help you buy a horse or a tree for your farming.
Users of Farmville would find an option on the bottom right of the Farmville main page. By clicking the sponsored ad, they would become a fan of Bing’s Facebook Page and receive FarmVille’s virtual currency.
Obviously, the effort has been a successful one since Bing has witnessed a big leap in the number of fans — from 100,000 fans on Monday to 500,000 (during the time of reporting).
Farmville itself has 83.1 million monthly active users. Among them about 28.7 million (1.5%) has participated in the campaign run by Microsoft’s Bing. This is pretty much encouraging for Bing as it was trying hard to make more people inclined towards Google’s alternative.
FarmVille Freak, the FarmVille-focused blog has organized a poll for its readers to know what their reactions are about Bing’s campaign. Well, they got 68% positive reply to the query “Will you be clicking the Bing FarmVille Sponsored Link?” I think this clearly reflects popularity of Bing’s Farmville campaign.
