LONDON - A British man has spotted an enormous pair of pliers flying over a West Bromwich residential street - on Google Street View.

The strange discovery was made by David Muir, who decided to look up his road when the Internet site went live this week.

The website offers a detailed view of every street in the country, using images captured by a special 360 degree camera mounted on top of a car.owever, Muir found a rather unusual aspect to Whitehall Road when he logged on to Google Street View.

He saw what appears to be a giant pair of pliers about to strike a chimney of one of the homes in the terraced street.

The oddity appears to be down to a mistake by a Google technician who was making adjustments to the car-mounted camera at the junction of Whitehall Road and Compton Road.

The camera snapped the pliers and they ended up on the site.

“It is a curious picture to say the least,” the Telegraph quoted Muir as saying.

“I have been emailing it to friends and telling them to look upwards. It has caused a lot of amusement around here,” Muir added.

Google has since altered the image on its website. (ANI)
