Google Remains the Top Search Engine

Google retains its top slot in the search engine market being the destination for largest number of web surfers in April. According to the recent data released by comSourceThe searchers throughout the month touched the 9.5 billion mark. Google is the only gainer among the searches in April. The site received a boost of 0.5 percent to come up with 64.2 percent overall. Yahoo and Microsoft touched 20.4 percent and 8.2 percent respectively, which was a decline of 0.1 percent since march. The second line of search engine Ask.com remained stagnant at 3.8 percent of the market. AOL being one of leading losers down by 6 percent to 3.4 percent of market share.
On a broader note, considering the factors such as mapping, local directories and other expanded searches, Google shows 13 billion searches that is 5 percent better than March. On the second spot its Yahoo with 3.2 billion, Microsoft on 1.3 billion and AOL following on 795 million.
