Today the search share market witness an interesting turmoil with Yahoo’s search gaining shares in U.S search market.  According to the reports from research firm ComScore, Yahoo’s share in the search market hiked from 16.7% to 17.1%. ComScore shows the new measure Explict Core Search to filter search linked to slide shows and other artificial enhancements.

Search engine giant Google’s share dropped significantly from 65.8% in June to 62.2% in July. Another significant player in search market Microsoft Bing was steady at 11% making no gains or loss. AOL lost share from 2.4% to 2.3%, whereas Ask.com remained at 3.8%.

Clearly, even after making significant investment Bing fails to create an impression. Even if the other search engines pose no real threat to Google’s supremacy, they need to analyse the reason behind loss in market share.
