With Microsoft on in way to its eight generation Operating System, Windows 2008, and the release of Office 2007 Service Pack 2, the big buzz was still awaiting. Microsoft has come up with the Office 2007 predecessor that is all set for a RTM in early July 2010. Microsoft Office 14, officially named Microsoft Office 2010, is the latest in Office series of productivity suite that will be available in 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) version.
Sources suggest Microsoft would come up with a sleek, browser run web application version of Office 2010, along with the free ad-supported version. For the entire Office applications working online, cross-browser from anywhere you like, given that you have the AJAX and/or Silverlight support. The Office 2010 beta 1 is anticipated to be launched in early July, with the Beta 2, if released ,would follow up in early November. How to get your hands on the pre-released version?
Microsoft has offered an opportunity for it aficionados to experience the pre-release version of Office 14. This will be accessible for only for the registered members.
In order to register for Office 2010 Technical Preview Program (TPP) you need to visit Microsoft Office 2010 TPR.
There are no clear indication whether the version is available from the Community Technical Preview(CTP) program. Although registration doesn’t confirms inclusion in the Microsoft’s invitation list, but you can be sure that the registered members would be considered for an invitation into the Technical Preview Program.
The invitees would be informed in early or mid July.
