In MySpace on average (based on sample size of 2071208 images) 15 photos are uploaded per user. Considering only users who have at least one or more photos uploaded, they have on average uploaded a staggering 32 photos.

MySpace contains at least 289604263 users at the time of this writing. That gives an estimated 4.2 billion (2071208/140100*289604263 = 4281446583) photos uploaded by users in MySpace.

Note: The statistics includes private photos uploaded by users too as MySpace doesn’t quite protect them.

MySpace possibly beats Flickr and other image sharing service in just the volume of photos / images it serves.

As an aside if MySpace decides to charge just 1 penny per user per month, it can profit 2.89 million dollars per month and 34.75 million dollars per year.
