Jammu, Feb 27 (ANI): The ruling National Conference has demanded an apology from the state’s main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for depicting three generations of the Abdullah family as ‘3 Idiots’ on social networking site Facebook.

Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather slammed the PDP for ’stooping low in politics’ by making pun of Abdullah dynasty, whose three generations have led the National Conference party and also headed the State government for most of its history since 1947 when it became part of the Indian union.

Rather said, ” The utterances of People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti are product of an alien mind.”

Mehbooba Mufti denied the allegation.

“If anything like that is proved that we are responsible for whatever has been put on the Facebook and we have done it, they (government) have all the powers to take action,” she said.

Three generations of the Abdullahs - Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah and current Chief Minister Omar Abdullah- have been depicted on the Facebook as actors of a popular Bollywood film titled ‘3 Idiots’. (ANI)
