NEW IPHONE: Apple’s newest iPhone is more stylish than the iPhone 3GS, has a higher-resolution screen and faster processor and sports a front-facing camera for video calls.
NEW SOFTWARE: The iPhone 4 comes with Apple’s iOS4 software, which owners of some older iPhones can download for free. The new software includes the ability to multitask and to sort apps into folders.
THE VERDICT: If you live in an area where you get good AT&T wireless service, the iPhone 4 is a great choice — it makes most competing smart phones look boring and fusty.
