aim for windows mobileAOL has announced the launch of its instant messenger service AIM 2.0.9.1 beta for Windows Mobile. The latest version of AIM includes rich-features and changes for enriching mobile phone experience. One of the most exciting features with AIM is the Lifestream. With Lifestream users can opt for tabs to see what going on with their contacts. For more convenience the Lifestream tab has been integrated with the Buddy List.

Lifestream allows an array of interesting activities, especially the status updates, or for that adding Facebook and Twitter services. Users also enjoy the ability to update their setting through syncing to their accounts via Lifestream.aim.com.

Apart from these the users can get their YouTube or Delicious accounts and leave comments and read what comments their contacts have made. Adding to the party is the Me tab feature that complements the Lifestream feature that provides the alert  the contacts leave a comment.

Yet another distraction for the mobile user. Don’t you think the amount of information we need to digest on a daily basis is staggering . These life updates seem to replace direct contact and picking up the phone and talking. It’s not just aim facebook and twitter we seem to remotely digest information and replace direct interaction.
