10 No-Nonsense Reasons to Ditch iPhone for Android

Google’s Android OS powered phone T-Mobile G1 is creating much techno-babble within a few days of release. With some dynamite reviews to backup, its being drawn parallel with world’s most affable Nokia phones and of course the much-talked about Apple iPhone. It seems the new kid on the block has started writing on the wall against Apple’s smartphone. Well, I have no feasible reasons to discount it either. There are a good number of practical as well as technical vindications that are hard to avoid.

First lets deal with the hard-boiled elements that the Android is crying about

1. Multi-tasking facilities

One of the first complains with iPhone was the lack of background application. Android overwhelms the i-baby(I mean iPhone) running multiple applications at once and describing how multi-tasking works seamlessly. This is no way possible for iPhone currently.

2. Open Operating System

Android is an open OS system. So developers gotta play with this. It also means more free apps and more free games than what iPhone’s App store could think of.

3. QWERTY keyboard

iPhone has long been slurred for not having a keyboard. Well, the G1 isn’t a bulky set but attaches a full QWERTY keyboard for you to type in your emails.

4. Supports different file formats

The Apple’s OS doesn’t fit to many file formats unlike Windows and Linux. Google has well-groomed the Android to support almost all file formats.

5. No Jailbreak

Hacking is what worries you? You don’t need hacking in or jailbreaking for this open OS. Although I can’t guess how it’ll play out with the networks.

6. Customizable Software

The Android is much more customizable software than iPhone. It doesn’t require a clippy to copy-paste. The pull-down window shade seemsa better notification mechanism. With you have better control of every setting.

7. Online App Integration

Google’s Docs, calender and maps, everything can be integrated into the Android mobile with just a small effort. On the contrary Apple lacks such apps so there’s no question of integration.

8. Gmail Friendly Interface

To begin with if I ask the avid Gmail buffs who’s better iPhone or G1. They’d choose the Android at one go. It simple the G1 offers a far superior Gmail interface than iPhone. Whether reading, searching, labeling, and otherwise processing emails Android scores high over i-baby.

9. Swift Trackball

You’ll surely love this track ball on G1. Great for scrolling and clicking. When it comes to saving time on my moves, I’d always prefer this for swiping and tapping on screen, like for iPhone.

10. Android is Faster

You gotta bet for this. I know you’d say iPhone is fast. Here’s a faster phone that beats the iPhone with speed.

With so much praises for Android I can’t write out iPhone. Nobody can deny iPhone is seasoned boy with more to come. But then again, Android is only new and if it has so many positives already, there is no point why it can not become a pro and give iPhone a push. We will wait for just that.

I was astonished after applying the cover that it actually hid the scratches I had already gotten. I now only wish I hadn’t waited and used your product from day one
