Facebook dodges past Myspace in US

I must quote, I must quote
Old order changeth yielding place to new
That precisely means Myspace has grown old enough to be taken over by Facebook. Data released by comScore shows that Facebook passed MySpace by 0.023 million visitors. Facebook received 70.278 million unique visitors, and MySpace 70.255 million, In March, ReadWriteWeb reported
Over the last 60 days, according to data from Inside Facebook, the number of users over 35 doubled, and the fastest growing demographic on Facebook is women over 55. The majority of Facebook users are now over 25.
Moreover, Facebook’s marketshare of site visits has climbed impressively by 22 percent over the past month. If you are now gearing up for a battle between of Facebook and Myspace for gaining-regaining the lucrative US market, I guess you will be mistaken. Myspace can hardly fight back with very little innovative plans around compared to Facebook (like say personalized URL that Facebook introduced. Half a million people immediately registered within 15 minutes as Techcrunch suggests)
To make matters worse, MySpace will receive its last payment from Google next year. After that, they’re on their own. With page views decreasing, it’s possible that the site will be unprofitable a year from now considering it costs half a billion dollars a year to run.
So, what is the bottom line? If you are not too dedicated to Myspace, GO for FACEBOOK coz that is where the network lies, you social networking addict. DUH.
