Google Launches Blog Converter 1.0 to Convert Your Blog Betwen Blogger, Wordpres, Livejournal and etc.

Blog authors now have an exhilarating news with Google blog converters 1.0 being released. Blogger.com was allowing its bloggers to export all the contents of the blog previously. Now the Google Blog Converters project was announced by Data liberation team. The new Open Source project would provide options to move blog posts easily and comment from service to service and more.

The new release comes with Python libraries and runnable scripts which would allow conversion between export formats of the Blogger, WordPress, Movabletype and Livejournal. Further you have the source codes with templates for hosting the conversions on Google App Engine.

In future the project is anticipated to include support for BlogML as well as tools for synchronizing between various services that lack a export/import feature. Most of these services do provide API’s for accessing and modifying blogs.

So now you have enhanced level of control over your personal blog data. Look out for the source code.
