Summary Box: Tokyo event showcases 3-D gaming
THE BUZZ: The annual Tokyo Game Show has a lot of people wearing dark glasses this year. The buzz is on 3-D.
JUST BEGINNING: The full potential of 3-D for games has yet to be explored. Gaming expert Mark MacDonald says people don’t know yet the right amount of 3-D — too much, and people might start feeling sick.
NO SHOW: Conspicuously absent was Nintendo Co., whose 3DS handheld is set to go on sale before April. Nintendo’s planning a separate event on Sept. 29.
