Nexus One Users Got New Software Update

google-nexus-one_1554333c On Tuesday, some nexus one users received software update over the air regarding multi-touch for some applications, fix 3G problems and some changes of the software on the Google devices. The software update will help multi-touch features that includes pinch-to-zoom style navigation through different applications like Google maps, the built-in Web browser and the photo gallery. The multi touch feature was expected since Google released the Nexus One. Also, the mobile application Google Googles is now available at your Nexus phone and you need to launch the application from All Apps menu.

Additionally, there was complaint from phone forum regarding the irregular performance of 3G connection of Nexus Phone. The new  software is supposed to fix the problem. The new software update also includes new features of Google Maps as follows:

  • Starred items synchronized with maps.google.com - access your favorite places from your phone or computer
  • Search suggestions from your personal maps.google.com history - makes it easy to search for places you’ve searched for before
  • Night mode in Google Maps Navigation - automatically changes your screen at night for easier viewing and driving.

The update will be introduced gradually. In order to access the update, you will receive a message on your phone’s notification bar. Just download the update, wait for it to install, and you should be all set.
