Summary Box: Review of Samsung Galaxy S phones
SMART PHONES: Samsung’s new Galaxy S line of smart phones runs Google Inc.’s Android operating system. The Samsung Captivate and Vibrant are available through AT&T and T-Mobile, respectively, while Sprint will start selling the Epic 4G at the end of the month.
THE DETAILS: These three phones come with bright, crisp screens; 5-megapixel cameras that can also take high-definition videos; fast 1 GHz processors and version 2.1 of Android.
THE BOTTOM LINE: The battery life on the Vibrant is unimpressive, and the Epic 4G is bulky owing to its slide-out keyboard. But overall, all three are solid smart phones.
