Windows Live & Anti-Linux Campaigner Leaves Microsoft

Martin Taylor, a 13-year Microsoft veteran and advisor to chief executive Steve Ballmer, who coordinated Microsoft’s anti-Linux campaign has suddenly quit the company less than three months after moving to a new position revamping MSN’s marketing.

He was credited with helping Microsoft beat back the threat posed by the free Linux operating system when he was head of platform strategy for the Windows group.
