Android 2.2.1 Updates now Available for Google Nexus One

Google Nexus One has just received OTA update FRG83, which updates the Android version to 2.2.1. The new version is believed to have fixed bugs and security patches. The OTA update is 3.9 mb in size.
Among the notable updates, Google has disabled the one click root in Nexus One. The OTA update is having some issues with swype and other third party keyboards. The update will only be effective for those running Android 2.2 (build FRF91).

Step 1: Goto Settings
Step 2: About Phone and select System Updates
According to XDA forums the Update includes

- Build number: FRG83
If your Nexus One is currently running on Android 2.2 (build FRF91) and is compatible to the latest update, you can bring the updates into it following the instructions below.
Step 1: Download the Android 2.2.1 firmware for the Nexus One Here
Step 2: Rename the file update.zip and copy it to your microSD card via USB.
Step 3: Power down your Nexus One
Step 4: Hold down the “Volume Down” button as you power the phone back on.
Step 5: A screen should appear showing your phone’s system searching for various files. Scroll down to “recovery” and press the “Power” button.
Step 6: When you see the triangle with an exclamation point symbol, press the “Power” and “Volume Up” buttons at the same time.
Step 7: From the menu that appears, select “Apply sdcard:update.zip.”
Step 8: When the screen displays “Install from sdcard complete” select “reboot system now” and wait for the phone to power back up. (this will take a long time)
Once you are done with the updates, you may find the Android 2.2.1 having issues with third party keyboards. As per reports, Swype is not working and Swiftkey is not predicting words.
