Several Apple iPad users reported that the gadget has problems to connect with the wi-fi devices because of weak signals. Apple responded by saying on the support page “under certain conditions, iPad may not automatically rejoin a known wi-fi network”. Although, the company offered a fix for it, it responded that the problem could be caused by dual-band routers and suggested users to create a separate network name for each band. However, the users said that other devices are working fine with the same wi-fi connection.
Some people thought that it may be related to the orientation of wi-fi antenna, other said that it could be a software bug. If it turns out to be a software bug, it will be easier to fix it. In case of any problem of the device itself, it is going to be a bit tougher for Apple to solve it and many users may return it. One user pointed it out “If you are using public wi-fi, then you are not going to be able to make changes to router settings.” Other complaints include charging it and uploading the applications.
iPad was launched at US market on 3rd April and the company sold 300,000 units on the very first day. The company also claimed that one million applications and more than 250,000 e-books have been downloaded on the first day.
